Beskar Ingots

This wasn’t so much planned as it was just something I was thinking about. After flirting with (but abandoning) the idea of trying to make some custom dice, I thought about treating the Ingot as if it were a dice. I could minimize the mold line, while still making the posterior texture castable. This was something I wish I had done wile making the Imperial Credits, as having an unfinished surface certainly diminishes the effect. I had attempted making a mold from Brian Thompson’s Beskar Ingot, but this was done way before learning the ways of Robert Tolone’s mold making.

I wasn’t entirely happy with how I had done the registration marks in the mold, as it still would permit bubbles to be caught unless things were atomically aligned. In the end though, I had a functional mold I could practice the weathering on before attempting to do so on the aluminum version. It also gave me an excuse to use more of the Smooth-on aluminum powder on cold casts. I’m very happy with how this turned out.
